Our Mission
DevelopIT's mission is about inspiring students to pursue their passions from an early age and helping them to fulfill their dream of becoming future leaders in the field of technology and computer science. We provide our students with the chance to become connected with the world of technology through hands-on learning in exciting lessons taught by fellow students and volunteers.
By joining DevelopIT, we hope students and young minds can have the opportunity to challenge themselves and participate in non-traditional knowledge-sharing in a collaborative environment outside of their normal classrooms. Additionally, through our student led model, we at DevelopIT are also committed to providing middle and high schoolers with an early chance to not only strengthen their leadership skills through spearheading their own school branches, but also contributing back to society through providing volunteer educational services to younger students. Together, the DevelopIT community will empower our students with the ability to discover their true potential as future leaders in the field of technology.
Who We Are
DevelopIT is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that is aimed to empower students who are interested in computer science to pursue their dreams. Kevin Song
CEO and Founder
Kevin Song is the Founder and CEO of DevelopIT Inc. Kevin has had a passion for technology and computer science since an early age. He is a serial entrepreneur and currently also serves as the founder of a stealth mode Ed-tech startup. His favorite hobby has always been identifying and learning about the newest technological innovations and seeing how they affect and improve our everyday lives. Kevin has over 12 years of programming experience and is fluent in HTML, CSS, Arduino, Java, Javascript, and Python. Through DevelopIT, he hopes to spread his passion to younger underserved students, jumpstarting their interest in technology and preparing them to be the future leaders of this field.

Meghna Pandey
Chief Media Officer
Meghna is the Chief Media Officer of DevelopIT Inc. She is currently a junior at Richard Montgomery High School and is part of the International Baccalaureate Program. She has a passion for teaching younger students and has many years of educating students in science and piano. She hopes to share the knowledge that she has acquired with the younger generation. As Chief Media Officer of the DevelopIT team, she looks forward to supporting other students who are interested in subjects that pertain to computer science and technology.
Meghna has been extremely active in the community, by participating in organizations such as UNICEF and KAST. She also has a keen interest in medical sciences and hopes to pursue a similar field.
Jennifer Ren
Chief Technology Officer
Jennifer Ren is the Chief Technology Officer and Montgomery Blair Branch Manager of DevelopIT Inc. She is currently a junior in the STEM Magnet Program at Blair. Jennifer is very passionate about helping others and especially loves working with kids. As marketing team associate editor for BranchOut!, she has developed curriculums to promote STEM education among underprivileged youth in DC, as well as taught an elementary classroom in rural China. In a world where education is so fundamental, it is essential that children have effective teachers who can inspire and prepare them for the future, something Jennifer aspires to do as part of the Develop IT team.
Additionally, Jennifer is a member of Strathmore Children's Chorus, Jinling Dance Company, and her school’s Science Olympiad team, and enjoys photography and baking.
Valerie Wang
Chief Operating Officer
Valerie Wang is the Chief Operating Officer of Develop IT Inc. She is currently a junior in the International Baccalaureate Program at Richard Montgomery High School. Valerie has been an active member in her community since middle school as a member and now public relations coordinator of the community service organization, Difference Makers. She is an active member of the DECA business competition organization and has placed first in state conferences for marketing presentations and proposals.
Outside of service, Valerie is also a part of her school's debate team, an editor for the newspaper and dance captain for the school's musicals. She is excited to work with Develop It to continue her aid to educating children and helping out the community.
Om Pathak
Chief Information Officer
Om Pathak is the Chief Information Officer and Paint Branch Branch Manager of DevelopIT inc. He is currently a senior at Paint Branch High School. He is passionate about physics and computer science and wants to pursue the same after high school. He is also a manager at KID Museum, where he teaches young students to program and develop robots. He loves to hang out and motivate kids to pursue their goals. As the Chief Information Officer, he will help in creating a general curriculum for students and market our mission to the community. He believes that for anyone to be successful in today’s world, they need some basic knowledge of computer science.
Moreover, he is a professional cricketer and plays for a local club. He also plays baseball for Paint Branch and leads the DECA Chapter of Paint Branch. He is also a budding entrepreneur and works with his dad to expand the family business.
